This is not a remote role. Applicants must be able to report to work on time as scheduled.  

Position: Accounting & Payroll Clerk

Location: Kahului, HI

Pay: This position has a fixed pay rate of $25/hour 

Type: Full-time; Contract 

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm

Employers Options is seeking an Accounting & Payroll Clerk to join a growing and dynamic team!   

Job Description:   

1. Collect and verify employee timesheets for accuracy, and enter hourly data into the accounting system.
2. Maintain employee payroll and personnel records as directed by the Senior Accountant.
3. Process new hires and send their information to the payroll service.
4. Accept front counter payments, tally receipts, prepare bank deposits, and post receipts to the A/R system.
5. Send out invoices, customer statements, and customer letters.
6. Handle Penske truck rental reservations and payments, and prepare the required Penske reports.
7. Issue, edit, and enter purchase orders, and code and enter accounts payable invoices under the direction of the Accountant (Payables).
8. Assist with preparing customer work orders for parts and service, review them for completeness, and create invoices for billing.
9. Prepare reports and statistical data for management and regulatory agencies, and help with general clerical work.
10. Follow all federal, state, local, and company safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Position Requirements:    

1. Ability to use a desktop computer (Windows applications).
2. Comfortable using various office equipment.
